This is a special news bulletin for several active, upcoming & late pledges for games featured in the Low Poly Styled curator page. Indie developers tend to be trendsetters, yet despite the appeal they undertake high risks on a daily basis. More often than not, they rely on crowdfunded support through sites such as Kickstarter & Backetkit for pledges or Ko-fi & Patreon for continuous revenue stream to maintain afloat while also working day jobs. I take a personal stance that developers should be monetarily supported for their games as they chug along in development, however I do stress that one should only support these projects if you're financially capable of doing so while recognizing that these do not guarantee the final product's release (never treat these as pre-orders), but rather increase its chances for success so that others can purchase & play the game in the future while kickstarting the careers of these talented developers.

Please check them out as this took me waaaaaaaaaaaaay longer than I had expected, but I hope this was worth the wait.


Last, but not least, the October edition of Steam Next Fest is soon upon us starting October 19th until the 26th. As always, the Next Fest Demo Drive has been updated to include all participants for this occasion. Simply hover over the game & hit install demo, the list will be updated as more games get demos active during the week leading up to Next Fest. I'll be playing several demos over the coming weeks & adding games to the curator page as it envelops.

It's been an insane tall order, but it has been extremely rewarding whenever I see folks liking, sharing & thanking for the page's existence. A small niche corner of the internet that somehow gets used & will probably still be used even when I'm not around to see it. Your curiosity has lead you here to a box full of love letters to a bygone era, upon which page after page is written by love-strewn developers that grew up with hope in their hearts to develop & learn from the games they enjoyed as they capture the spark with far less funds that were available back then to make these for you to play. It'll repeat generation after generation until the end of time; what's lovely about an antiquated system such as this period of time I've set for myself is that people will reminisce, study & reproduce despite it being the best developers at that time were able to do with their limitations & their utter confusion as to why others want to keep that culture alive. As much as I enjoy the generation's greatest hits, there's far more varied games below the surface level left undiscussed & lost in translation that blow my mind whenever I pick up & play through it. I encourage more folks to dive deeper, widen your reaches & open your mind to new experiences beyond video games. There's plenty to explore & find, but it is important to keep in mind to always output the best quality that you are able to give while never accepting anything below the standards that you've set up for yourself. I aim to keep that quality up for those who read until I can't no more & so do these developers that require your help to make it there.

Please support in any way you can, lest that be a financial contribution, opening discussions on these sorts of games in forums & social platforms for others to see or leaving reviews for the games you enjoy & leaving feedback on what you wish could improve.

This curator is informative with positive or negative recommendations upon personally playing through each one at my own leisure. My goal is to bring more awareness to these games towards likeminded folks who enjoy them.
