Greeting Vikings!
Due to the overwhelming interest in hosting a dedicated Valheim server for the 1.0 launch, I’m excited to announce that we will be moving forward with that community add-on! Whether you are brand new to Valheim, or a long-time veteran, we have a lot in store to ensure everyone has an awesome experience with the launch. Now then, let’s cut to the chase.

Vanilla or Modded?
After seeing all the killer quality of life, game play, and building enhancements available with mods, we’re excited to announce this server will be: MODDED!!
Here’s an overview of the features we’ll have as a result:
· Larger user inventories
· One click stack, store, & sort in nearby chests
· Diablo-style loot drops (rare drops, magic items, & weapon enhancements)
· Enhanced building capabilities & extra planting/farming skills
· ...just to name a few

Will it have any additional RG goodies?
We gotcha covered! We will be building a new dedicated Linux server that can easily accommodate 10 simultaneous Valheim players + the mods mentioned. In addition, it will utilize the same enhancements as our TF2 server:
· Performance and stability
· Player and system security and protection
· World and configuration backups
· RG's secret sauce that makes our servers awesome

What is the path forward?
Server costs are $44 USD a month ($491 a year), but once we factor a discount of paying one year in advance (and one generous donation we’ve already received) our cost for the first year is $411. Broken up across the remaining 8 folks interested in donating puts the cost at $51.38 per person.
We will spin up the server for a month to fully test things out & give folks the opportunity to check things out. Towards the end of the first month, we’ll provide another poll to ensure everyone is still interested in keeping the server long term (and willing to donate).
