The Silksong is real!

Silksong is finally here and it’s everything I ever hoped for… and somehow even more!
Even with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 delivering a 10/10 game, Silksong is still easily my Game of the Year 2025.

A big part of why I enjoyed it so much is the long wait. Like many others, I’ve been looking forward to this game for years and unlike most major releases, I managed to avoid spoilers almost entirely.
Aside from trailers, I went in blind and let me tell you, Silksong delivered.

In the first game, I spoiled too much for myself - I knew where to go, what to do, and which bosses were coming. This time, I got to truly discover everything on my own, and that made the experience incredibly special. That kind of spoiler-free playthrough is rare nowadays, especially for a game this hyped.

Silksongs world is massive, detailed, and full of stunning scenery. I’m also just a huge fan of the art style.
The music, atmosphere and combat all come together beautifully - it feels close to perfect in my eyes.

Spoilers Ahead! Be Aware!

Hornet is a fantastic protagonist—completely different from the Knight. Her fast, agile moveset makes both combat and platforming incredibly fun, and she’s simply a joy to control.
Later on, you can find and switch to different crests that fundamentally change how you play and what tools you use.

The environments are a huge highlight and they’re just… incredible!
Show me one person who didn’t enjoy the visuals and music in Moss Grotto, Far Fields, Greymoor, Bellhart, Cogwork Core, Memorium, and of course Coral Chambers!
And of course even the areas I didn’t mention are great - the ones above are just my absolute favorites!

The NPCs are fantastic as well. Shakra feels like a perfect blend of Iselda and Cornifer from the first game. Fleamaster Mooshka and his caravan (with all the little fleas - “awooo”) were a standout, especially since they travel with you through Farloom instead of staying in one place.
Sherma, Garmond & Zaza, and the Green Prince are also great, and I really enjoyed their involvement in the story.
I also love the small recurring interactions throughout the journey - similar to how Quirrel appeared in the first game. Moments like that make the world feel alive.

And finally, the bosses.
Most of them are absolutely amazing, and even the toughest fights feel fair and rewarding in hindsight - a true test of your progress.
If you struggle, there are always ways to adapt: using different tools, upgrading your needle, spool and/or masks.
Standout fights for me were all Lace fights, the Cogwork Dancers, both Trobios, First Sinner, GMS, and Karmelita. My absolute favorite? Karmelita! 100%

If you’ve read this far, you probably get the idea: in my opinion, Silksong is a masterpiece.

I can’t wait to see what DLC Team Cherry might bring and what they create next.

The Witcher 3 is one of my absolute favorite Games ever.
Even now, over 10 years after release, only few games comes close to what This masterpice achieved.

It’s everything one can hope for in a story-driven RPG.
I’m writing this review years after finishing it and I still vividly remember so many of my 250+ hours with the game.

The world is massive, detailed, and Beautiful - From the bleak swamps of Velen to the colorful vineyards of Toussaint.
The atmosphere is hardly matched, the music iconic, and the characters unforgettable.

And then there’s the DLC. Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine aren’t just great expansions - they’re some of the best DLC ever made.

So clearly, The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece you have to experience.
It’s one of those rare games that I know I’ll carry with me forever.

Thank you, CD Projekt Red - this wasn’t just a game, it was a beautiful journey, and one I’ll never forget.
With that said... I can't wait to get my Hands on The Witcher 4!
