This game is a gem. It's more akin to a VN with some RPG elements, but the story is why I played it. The premise caught my eye, the music heightened the emotions and the story broke the dam behind which my tears lie. I will now and alwats hold this game close to my heart, and I hope you give it a shot too.

Havent been this excited for a game in a while. And so far, this as delivered. The game is visually stunning, the QTE's make you feel in the moment, and the writing has been getting a good bit of laughs from me. As much as I dislike not being able to play the hole game right away, in the long run it'll lead to me playing and enjoying this visual masterpiece a bit longer. However this story goes, I hope this is just the beginning of the Dispatch universe.

Updating this review:

So far the game has been great, requires trial and error and some resets when you’re trying to 100% all calls, but that’s not bad. You occasionally encounter some visual bugs, but those are more hilarious than game breaking. Up until the end of episode 3 no major choices need to be made, but starting from that point, another playthrough may be required if you intend on pursuing other outcomes.

Final Update:

Game is an 11/10 on any day of the week for me. My only gripe is that the dispatch sections aren't always counted as separate scenes, so if you wish to reset a run in order to get 100% on your dispatch calls, then you may need to sit through several minutes of dialogue. Aside from that, the game is easy to learn. I've encountered visual bugs during the weekly episodic releases that have subsequently been patched. Have not experienced any game breaking bugs. As for the story, it turns out all of my theories were wrong and I'm glad to have been proven wrong. If you were not convinced to buy this game and play it before, I hope this might have helped sway your decision.

Game runs great on the steamdeck.

As for the story, I’ll repeat what I’ve said before, writing feels refreshing and not stale, every time I replay certain scenes or episodes, I come up with more and more theories and reasons as to who to trust and who’s the potential antagonist. That being said, the humorous encounters, the dialogue interactions, and some out of pocket outcomes make this game feel alive in a lot of ways. I genuinely hope this game gets more installments. Will update my review again when episodes 6-8 are out
