"WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, THIS WILL BE MY GAME OF THE YEAR!" ~ me

I have so much to say on this game and I was pulled in to play it from a game event, I believe?! I never usually get so intrigued from a story unless its an AC title or something. This had me hooked from the short trailer alone, that in itself is a pretty big feat! As I listed above, this game is all those before is and made into it's own kind of butter and it will keep you engrossed for the couple of hours this demo gives you. Rating after my demo experience 9/10!

The music and sound design is amazing; you feel the paranoia, tense suspense, the eery sombre like you're being judged or watched from afar. The clicks and clacks of using the payphone, the footsteps, gates opening and counter bells dinging, it makes you feel immersed and some sounds remind me of my childhood. You can tell love was poured into this.

The story so far is really intriguing and I'm hooked for the full release! The gunplay was tough at first but in the settings you can also turn off the DBD style skill checks mini events for when loading your guns, if you prefer it. The blade is hard to use at first but like all games, you level up, improve your skill and learn the enemy types - even the boss in this tutorial is a trial and error. Yes, you get a boss!

The map area is small at first glance but when you have to navigate it and backtrack to locked areas before, it opens into a maze type map, shortcuts and even ways to remind yourself what is in the area with using your in game camera to take snaps and make notes. The dialogue is informative without hand-holding. The VA in this game had me sparkle with how real it feels and almost ASMR at times.

I hope the devs add many achievements in the full release, I did find myself doing easter egg type stuff like overly flushing the toilet... dying a fair few times and loved the payphone 911 emergency number easter egg!
